Soap is obtained from the saponification reaction of fat and alkali. Various raw materials such as tallow, lard, coconut oil, palm oil, palm kernel oil are used for soap production. It is a popular washing and cleaning product. They are therefore, indispensable items as a daily requirement in homes, offices, schools, hospitals, restaurants and so on. Neem soap is made from the oil of the neem tree and the leaf extract. Neem as a plant has medicinal and healing properties. It is useful in the treatment of eczema, psoriasis, acne or dry skin. Neem oil and the leaf extract has antibacterial, antifungal, soothing and moisturizing properties that are beneficiary to the skin.
