Livinus was born into the humble family of Igwuribe John and Josephine Onu of Amufie Enugu- Ezike in Igbo Eze North LGA of Enugu State on 25th June, 1962. He is the first child of his parents who were farmers. His primary school education was at Amufie Community Primary School where he came first in his class consistently and bagged many awards. He proceeded immediately to Igbo- Eze Secondary School Enugu Ezike where he passed out with division one in the West African School Certificate examination in 1980. He worked briefly as Accounts Clerk at Cooperative and Commerce Bank, Enugu between 1980 and 1982.
He gained admission into former Anambra State University of Technology Enugu to study Mechanical / Production Engineering in 1982. He graduated with Second Class Honours Upper division in July 1987. He did his National Youth Service Corps here in FIIRO between 1987 and 1988. Due to his brilliance, hard work and meticulous approach to his duties, the Assistant Director in Engineering Department then ( Dr. M A O Kehinde) strongly recommended him for full employment in FIIRO to the then Director. Subsequently, he was employed as Research Officer II in February 1992. Right from there he started his pupillage in Design and fabrication with Engrs. Kalu and Ogunsanwo and together with them they designed and fabricated the first FIIRO Sorghum Malting Plant and FIIRO UNIDO Gari fryer. He was the principal investigator in the following research projects; design and fabrication of grains destoner, design and development of ginger roots splitting machine, design and fabrication of local rice destoner, design and development of cassava chipping machine, modification of FIIRO flash dryer and design and development of magnetic field assisted convective dryer(PhD project). He also worked with other researchers in the following projects: development of food bars from indigenous food crops, design and development of extrusion cooker, design and development of regenerative heat exchanger, design and fabrication of modernized local gari fryer, design and development of pelletizing machine for fish feed, design and development of dryer for the onion project as we as the development and production of fishmeal analogue among others. He got a post graduate scholarship award from National Agricultural Research Project in 1994 to study Mechanical Engineering. He graduated with M.Sc degree in Mechanical Engineering majoring in design from the University of Lagos in 1995. In his quest for knowledge and to further boost his research career, he preceded on part time study to University of Ibadan for his PhD programme where he graduated with a PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2015 majoring in Thermo fluids. His PhD Thesis was on Effect of Magnetic Field on Convective Drying of Ceramics and Agricultural Products. He has over sixteen research publications in both international and local referred peer review journals. He has served in various capacities in FIIRO among which includes; head of machine shop section, head of computer aided design and computer aided manufacturing office, head of PPD turnkey projects equipment identification and synchronization and his present position as DD and head, Works and Services division. He is a member in the following professional bodies: Council for the regulation of engineering in Nigeria (COREN), Nigerian society of Engineers (NSE) and Nigerian Institute of Mechanical Engineers (NIMechE). He bagged Merit award as the Best worker in Engineering Dept. in 1996 and Merit award in Productive Improvement through Works Study by the Malaysian Productivity Centre, Malaysia, 2007. He has attended many training workshops and conferences which include course on design and construction of food storage systems(1993), Computer Aided Design and Drafting(Intensive Basic, Intermediate and Advanced 1998), Leadership and Management Skills for High Quality and more Relevant Research and Development Activities(ASCON 2012) among others. His additional responsibilities in FIIRO include: Member, FIIRO Research projects monitoring and evaluation committee, member, FIIRO Journal Publication Committee, member, FIIRO Research Ethics and Discipline committee, Chairman, FIIRO Standing Committee on machinery, equipment and facilities audit, member FIIRO junior staff disciplinary committee, member FIIRO Governing Board Committee on works and services and member, FIIRO procurement planning committee.. He got married to Juliana Onu in 1993 and they are happily blessed with children. He is a very strong Christian and is handling a lot of responsibilities in his Church. He is a distinguished scholar and also a passionate service provider who goes out of his way to ensure that necessary facilities essential for the worker’s day to day activities in an organization such as FIIRO are provided just in time. BOLA FUNKE LIKINYO

Bola Funke Likinyo, Deputy Director of Partnership Division of Extension & Linkage Department, brings a wealth of experience as a Chartered Human Resource Personnel M anager. She holds a Master's degree in Public Administration (specializing in Human Resource and Personnel Management) from the University of Lagos. With a Bachelor's degree in Religious Studies from Ondo State University, she also possesses diplomas in Mass Communication (Public Relations and Advertising) from University of Lagos, Human Resource and Personnel Management and Computer Science from Topclass Computer Institute now Lagos City Business School. She is a member of The Institute of Entrepreneurs, Nigeria and the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM). She has attended many trainings and seminars on Human Resource management, other management Courses and Public Relations both locally and internationally.
Likinyo Bola did her NYSC at Air Force Military Base, Jos, Plateau State as an Instructor. She started her working career with the Lagos State Government, Ministry of Education as an Instructor and served under Education District II. She rose to the Post of Deputy Director, Education before joining the Federal Institute of Industrial Research, Oshodi in January, 2011.
She has participated in numerous conferences and seminars both locally and internationally. She is a prolific writer known for her contributions to scripts and feature writing. She also served as a Minister at the Foursquare Gospel Church, Gbagada, where she holds the positions of General Sunday School Superintendent and Zonal Christian Education Minister. She is dedicated to driving impactful collaborations. Likinyo has a proven track record of achievements, both professionally and within her community.
Achievements/Activities of Partnership Division:
- Organized over 50 courtesy visits with key stakeholders interested in the Institute's research and development services.
- Successfully signed Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with tertiary institutions and non-governmental organizations to foster collaboration and joint projects.
- Collaborated with various organizations for widespread publicity of the Institute's research and development initiatives.
- Engaged in local government activities to promote the Institute's offerings and foster partnerships for sustainable development.

OKOH SUNDAY OFUZIM

- DR Okoh Sunday Ofuzim is Currently a Deputy Director and head, of the Chemical Technology Division in the Chemical, Fibre and Environmental Technology (CFET) Department of the Federal Institute of Industrial Research Oshodi (FIIRO) Lagos, Nigeria.
- He is an indigene of Ekpon in Igueben Local Government Area, Edo State, Nigeria.
- He became the Deputy Director of the of CFET Department on January 1st, 2023 and was a Chief Research Officer (CRO) of the same Department for about eight Years (8) between January 2015 and January 1st, 2023.

FRANCIS EZEBOR

Dr. Francis Ezebor is a substantive Deputy Director of Chemical, Fibre and Environmental Technology Department (CFET) with effect from January 2023 and he is the current Head of Polymer and Textile Technology Division. He is a native of Akoku clan in Delta State. Dr. Ezebor graduated from University of Benin, Benin - City in 1989 with an Upper Second - Class Honours Degree in Biochemistry.
